About me
I grew up in Turangi, where I gained a passion for the outdoors and wildlife from an early age. I was always fascinated by nature and all the creatures in it, from ants to elephants. David Attenborough, Jacque Cousteau were my idols.
Fly fishing for trout, duck hunting, rabbit shooting and eventually deer hunting became my passions and a great respect for these animals was instilled in me. Eventually I became a trout fly fishing guide which I did on and off for almost twenty years.
Taxidermy always amazed me as you could see creatures up close, frozen in time. Now later in life I have had the opportunity to go and study under Joel Zimmermann in Pennsylvania USA and start my journey as a Taxidermist.
